Zilong Xie is the director of the Hearing and Aging Research (HEAR) Lab. He completed his Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Texas at Austin and is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication Science and Disorders at Florida State University.

Hayley Krush is an undergraduate research assistant in the HEAR Lab. She is from Jacksonville, Florida. She is majoring in Communication Science and Disorders and minoring in Biological Science, with a goal of applying to graduate school for a Doctorate in Audiology.
Kiera Sinclair is an undergraduate research assistant at the HEAR Lab. She is a 2024 to 2025 UROP student with a Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience major and Chemistry minor on a pre-medical track at Florida State University. She will use this degree to pursue her neurosurgeon aspirations in medical school.
Rachel Stramanino is an undergraduate research assistant in the HEAR lab at Florida State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Communication Science and Disorders. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she is deeply interested in both audiology and speech-language pathology and is planning to attend graduate school in the future.
Yuqing Zhang is a graduate research assistant in the HEAR lab. She is from China and is currently an graduate at Florida State University, majoring in East Asian Language and Culture. She is interested in pedagogy and second language acquisition.
