Zilong Xie is the director of the Hearing and Aging Research (HEAR) Lab. He completed his Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Texas at Austin and is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication Science and Disorders at Florida State University.

Maggie Lawson is an undergraduate research assistant in the HEAR lab, where she is pursuing a degree in Communication Science and Disorders. Originally from Cape Girardeau, Missouri, she is interested in pursuing a career in audiology and is planning on attending graduate school.

David Levinson is an undergraduate research assistant in the HEAR lab. He is pursuing a degree in Psychology and Studio Art, with plans to pursue Psychology in graduate school. He is very interested in the brain’s biological processes and how that relates to our senses.
Kayla Modilevsky is an undergraduate research assistant in the HEAR Lab, majoring in Communication Science and Disorders with a minor in Child Development. She plans to pursue a Doctorate in Audiology to become a pediatric audiologist.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she is deeply interested in both audiology and speech-language pathology and is planning to attend graduate school in the future.
